A frog looks before it leaps

A frog measures the distance and lands where it meant to. Hopp works the same way: every rule is run on your real data, again and again, long before the day that counts.

At home in two worlds

Frogs live in water and on land. A migration has to understand two worlds as well: the old system the data comes from and the new one it is going to.

From a data center to a company of its own.

Hopp was built to solve real migrations, and it ran them for a decade before it had a name.

2006: Built where it was needed
Development starts inside a Danish data center that needed a better way to migrate banks onto its platform.
2008: One tool, many migrations
The software runs migration after migration, led by IT architect Lars Kjærsgaard.
2015: Two sailors in St. Lucia
Sune Visti Petersen, crossing the Atlantic with family and friends, meets Lars at a bar in St. Lucia. Lars has been living on his boat, still working on the software. Both come from banking, and both know how underserved complex migration is.
2016: Hopp Tech is founded
The company is founded in England, named after the Nordic word for leaping forward, with a frog as its logo.
2017: A product, not a project
Ten years of field use are consolidated into one commercial solution for complex migration.
2018: A new generation
A new version of the software reaches customers.
2019: London
The London office opens.
2024: Back to Copenhagen
With customers in several countries, Hopp Tech returns to its Danish roots and makes Copenhagen its hub. The brand is renewed and the partnership with Temenos begins.
2025: Further afield
Expansion into North America and Asia-Pacific, a new SAP offering, and an office in Canada.
2026: Through partners, worldwide
Building a network of system integrators that bring Hopp into critical transformation programs around the world.

Both spent their careers inside large IT organizations and financial institutions. They know the risk, the cost and the time a system change takes, because they have lived it.

Sune brings senior management experience from financial institutions and large IT organizations. As Managing Director, he leads Hopp Tech.

Data migration is our specialty. All of our software and all of our expertise go into getting your data safely to its new home.

Proven on your data first

Before you commit, we run a proof of concept on your own data. It takes one to three weeks, depending on how ready your source data and rules are.

Every record is checked

Hopp validates the full population, not a sample, and records the state of every Business Object as it moves.

Your rules stay yours

The migration specification lives in your own git repository, under the change control you already run.

Your AI, your perimeter

Hopp has no AI model of its own. If you use AI, you bring your own, and it stays inside your perimeter.
