New Features in Hopp Data Migration Software
We are excited to announce the latest release of Hopp data migration software (version 2.5).
It contains new and improved features that enhance your experience and streamline your data migration workflow.
This release brings enhancements across five main areas:
- Portal - View Results and Manage the Migration,
- Studio - Map, Define and Apply Rules,
- Engines - Auto-Generate and Supplement Code,
- Runtime - Execute Migration Code,
- and Automation - Automate Migration Flow.
Let's look at the main changes in this release!
Studio - Enhanced Flexibility and Usability
We have all been there, creating a Validation Rule only to realize it should have been a Mapping Rule, or needing to reorganize the Business Object hierarchy.
With this release, you can now effortlessly move items around in the Project Explorer tree view using simple drag-and-drop or copy-and-paste actions.
This new feature eliminates the tedious manual process of replicating properties from one location to another.
- Direct Management of Target and Child Business Objects
Adding and deleting Target Objects and Child Business Objects is now more straightforward than ever.
You can perform these actions directly from the Project Explorer, saving you time and effort.
Note that these actions will automatically check out the Business Object, ensuring that no one else is making changes simultaneously.
- Improved Views in the Source Map
Creating and maintaining views in the Source Map has been simplified.
The new release removes the need to manually maintain lists of Referenced Objects and introduces automatic synchronization of Exposed Fields with the SQL query of the view.
This means less manual work and more accurate data representation.
- Stricter Validation for Exposed Fields
To ensure data integrity, we have implemented stricter validation for Exposed Fields in views.
This new capability catches potential issues early, reducing the risk of runtime errors.
Portal - Comprehensive Comparison of Object Versions
When comparing historical versions of an Object, the comparison now includes Event and Dependency differences.
This enhancement provides a more detailed and accurate view of changes over time.
Runtime - Optimized Data Loading and Enhanced Security
- Direct Load of Staging Tables
We have optimized the process of loading data from files to staging tables.
The new BulkDataProvider extension replaces the old Reformatter extensions, allowing for on-the-fly reformatting and direct bulk insertion.
This change significantly improves the efficiency of loading large files.
- Constant and Secret Substitution
You can now use Constants and Secrets within the parameters for extension usages, enhancing security and flexibility in your configurations.
Automation - Streamlined Processes
Our automation capabilities have been enhanced to support the new features and improvements in this release.
This ensures that your automated workflows continue to run smoothly and efficiently.
- Bug Fixes and Improvements
We have addressed several bugs in this release, improving the overall stability and performance of the software. For a detailed list of fixed issues, please refer to the release notes.
We are confident that these new features and improvements will enhance your experience and make your work more efficient.
Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to hearing your feedback on this exciting new release!
